Local 333 Instructors Graduate Five Year Program

On August 14th, Keith Young and Bart Anderson took the stage at the Eastern Michigan University Convocation Center to receive their diplomas. Both Local 333 members completed a comprehensive five year program hosted by the UA, Wastenaw College, Eastern Michigan, University of Michigan and the National Labor College, to attain their UA Certified Instructor status.

Bart Anderson is lead instructor in the welding technology and instruction for Local 333. Keith Young is lead instructor involved with math technologies, supervision and he is currently teamed with John Reilly to develop and market "Green" and LEED innovations used in the mechanical industry.

Local 333 is proud of the hard work and accomplishments of both Instructors.
Battle Creek Casino is under Construction

The new Battle Creek casino off I-94 is now under construction. Fire Keepers Casino owned by the Potawatomi Tribe is scheduled to open mid 2009. The 236,000 square foot facility on 78 acres will have 2500 slots, 110 gaming tables, and five restaurants; 1,500 permanent jobs are expected to bless the area once the doors open.
Construction continues on the gaming facility. Once the doors open to the public, plans are to begin construction on a hotel and conference facility adjacent to the casino.
